What the project holds today, and how firmly.
| Finding | Status |
|---|---|
| The container is constitutive | Candidate theory |
| Trait, not state | Candidate theory |
| The self can be displaced | Candidate theory |
| Attention is the medium and breath is the lever | Convergent |
| The way down is disorganization, held | Convergent |
| Awakening is relational and the place is alive | Convergent, with a caveat |
| The self is a constructed model | Contested |
The caveat: where a claim mixes a scientific part with a metaphysical one, the two are kept apart. “The mind reaches into the world” converges with science. “The place itself is sentient” is the traditions’ claim, held as theirs.
Still open
- Is the self unreal, as the traditions say, or a real causal model, as science says? The leading candidate answer is two layers: identification can dissolve while the model keeps steering.
- Is a household a large enough container for lasting change, or do some forms of practice need a community or a place?
- How do you study something science can only watch from outside and the traditions only work from inside?
This is working research, not peer-reviewed. Each position can change, and when one does, the change is dated and the old position is kept.
